Parents Night was the theme of the May 7 meeting of the Prairie Dell 4-H Club. Misty Hobbs called the meeting to order as the parents of the members acted in their roles for the evening.
Crystal Richey, acting song leader, led the club in singing B-I-N-G-O.
Acting parliamentarian, Lisa Wicoff, explained why we take minutes at the meeting. Lori Edge and Beth Griffeth from Great Southern Bank provided the program for the meeting with several games and a discussion on how to conserve water, energy and money. They helped us realize how much we use with fun games. Each member went home with a gift from the speakers.
The meeting concluded with club members at the middle school and high school discussing plans for a public service announcement on the benefits of sunscreen during outdoor activities this summer.
The next meeting is June 4 at 7 p.m. at the Riverside Park Community Building. Talks are to be given by Ethan Weide, Katie Weide, Jackson Wilks, Peyton Weast and Lane Roloff.
